The Calliola world of food and flavours is dictated by the four seasons and nature’s produce. Our menus, which are designed by our top professionals consist of nature’s and local producers’ ingredients. They are prepared without any intermediaries, always fresh, directly onto the customer’s plate.
Game and mushrooms come from the surrounding woods, the fish is from the nearby waters, and the bread is baked from flour from Raseborg. The renowned Bovik organic lamb farm here in Snappertuna is our designated supplier. Even our honey is delivered from right next door – says our wizard in the kitchen, Chef Joachim Silfver.
Good relations with the local people and with the small producers in the surrounding area guarantee high-quality ingredients. The Calliola menu is designed by taking advantage of seasonal products. In actual fact, the menu forms a frame inside which the content varies on a daily basis. If the catch of the day has been perch, the fish will find their way to the lunch table via the kitchen. When making a table reservation, a customer can choose the main food ingredient, and it will be prepared with the available accompaniments.
Local food and genuine flavours combined with innovative creation are, indeed, the foundation of the Calliola kitchen. Before, people used to talk about home-cooked food. Now, the talk of the town is local or seasonal food. In principal they are one and the same. Game can also often be seen on the Calliola menu. If one does not know a person who hunts, it is not very often that one gets the chance to enjoy fresh game and ethically-generated food.
In addition to conferences and wedding receptions, we also cater to private customers and smaller groups (groups of at least 8 people) upon advance booking.
DINNER, FLAVOUR AND ATMOSPHERE
PURJE – DINING ROOM 52 persons
Purje is a bright and spacious dining room for 52 persons. On sunny days and summer evenings, lunches and dinners can be enjoyed amidst nature on the terrace that opens up from in front of Purje.
IDYLLI – DINING ROOM 24 persons
Idylli is cosy and enchanting dining room in the Calliola Main Building. It is suitable for get-togethers of 24 persons. In Idylli, you can sense the old-world archipelago history, and enjoy good food in good company.
VENEVAJA – DINNERS 40 persons, by the sea
The Venevaja is an enchanting place by the sea. It is suited for groups of 40, and complete with its terrace it is one of the most popular dinner places, and an absolute must for crayfish parties. The proximity of the sea and the surrounding nature as well as the breathtaking fireplace create an atmosphere that you can only experience at Calliola. In the summer, the terrace that fits 30 persons and opens up over the sea from the dining area offers a place to enjoy a party.
KIRJASTO DINNERS 28 persons
The Kirjasto atmosphere provides surroundings in which to savour good food with twentyish friends. This comfortable space, which also features a billiard table, is suited for both peaceful as well as livelier dinners.
VILLA CALLIOLA DINNERS 20 persons
Villa Calliola is a beautiful and idyllic manor building where the dinner of your dreams can be organised. Dinner and lunch for 20 persons can be served in the archipelago-style dining room.
IDEACALLIO BANQUETS 50–130 persons
A magnificent, spacious and idyllic space for big functions and dinners for 50-130 persons. IdeaCallio can be decorated according to the themes of the occasions for weddings, special occasions or company functions.
SAUNA AND CABIN CATERING 10–50 persons
Sauna is an important part of the Finnish culture of well-being and relaxing. The four seafront saunas at Calliola, complete with lounge areas and terraces, offer unforgettable experiences for our Finnish and our international guests. A strong connection with nature is present in our sauna facilities. Our guests find refreshment and enjoyment at our saunas. The sauna facilities are right at the seafront. The terraces are connected by a lit seafront boardwalk. Various types of meals can be ordered to the saunas from the Sauna Menu. The sauna facilities and the meals for evening get-togethers must be booked in advance.
The Calliola idyllic Cabin is located at the seafront, amidst nature, only a short walking distance away. The Cabin is an excellent place to air opinions during a conference day whilst enjoying a campfire coffee. A Cabin Outing is a great breakaway at the end of a conference day enjoying a Cabin dinner and getting a sense of archipelago life.
Coffee at the Cabin
A bit of fresh air clears the head and brings extra energy to a day’s work. Traditional campfire coffee, complete with trimmings, is served in the warmth of the Cabin, which is only a 15-minute walk away. This campfire coffee at the Cabin is suited for groups of 10 to 15. This excursion takes approximately 1 to 1,5 hours, depending on the size of the group.

Enjoy a delicious Cabin dinner in idyllic surroundings by campfire. Dinner at the Cabin is suited to a group of 10 to 20. This evening meal takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on the size of the group.
The Cabin at Calliola is a licenced area. Wines or speciality beers can also be enjoyed during the meal. It is also possible to organise theme evenings accompanied by, for instance, traditional Finnish “Robber’s Roast” or game paella.
